What a weekend!

There were record crowds on both campuses, great spirit, and moving worship. The message was entitled “Is Jesus L.O.R.D”? Above is a picture of Jeff Marsh leading the London Philharmonia as they are working on the music for a Pirates of the Caribbean video game. All eyes on the conductor, the orchestra lets him lead them through their particular parts. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm! What is the lesson for us? That each of us should be following the lead of the Lord Jesus. He is the conductor of ALL CONDUCTORS.

L.ove God more than anything else in this world.
O.bey Him in whatever He asks you to do.
R.eflect His character to a lost and dying world.
D.epend on and trust in Him alone.

Is Jesus the Lord of your life???

Marvelous Mollie

This is Mollie Chou. She is about as cute as they come, wouldn’t you agree?

She was born 6 weeks ago at 4 lbs., 10 oz. Today she is a whopping 7 lbs., healthy, adorable and wonderfully cared for by her parents, Eric and Katty Chou.

I met Katty at the post office and ended up performing her marriage ceremony in March of 2006. Eric is a heart surgeon and Katty serves as a medical personnel for a college. They both love the Lord dearly and have hopes and aspirations to raise little Mollie in the love and instruction of the Lord.

It is our prayer that through this little girl, God would make His love known to all.

Please keep little Mollie in your prayers, and lift Eric and Katty before the Lord that God might give them daily wisdom in the raising of this child.

My only concern for these proud parents are that they are a little confused about wanting this child to go to Pepperdine. Go Bruins!!!

13 Baptisms on the Westside Campus

My joy is overflowing at our services this past weekend. There was such a great spirit on both campuses and we held a baptism service in Westwood where 13 people gave their lives to Jesus Christ and were baptized into Jesus’ name. So many of you have sacrificed in order for this to take place.

Pictured above is David Chan and Diane Hsu. David grew up in our church but recently started dating Diane and she’s been attending the Shepherd Westside in Brentwood. We purchased Diane a Bible and she began reading God’s Word and she eventually stepped forward to accept Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour and she was one of the 13 that was baptized this past weekend.

I pray that each of you understands why we have the video service at 11:30 and why we started this campus on the Westside. It’s because of people like Diane who otherwise would NOT have had the opportunity to be saved. I want to thank each of you again for being people who truly care about reaching lost people. And more importantly David and Diane thank you. 🙂

Just think how thankful Jesus must be!

Shepherd continues to set the mark for committed people being obedient to the great commission. Matthew 28:18-20.
