Merry Christmas 2007

I just want to invite each of you to attend our Christmas eve services here at Shepherd of the Hills Church at 5:00 pm, 7:00 pm, 9:00 pm and 11:00 pm.
www.theshepherd.org for directions..

If you are not able to make it please allow me and my family to wish each of you a very MERRY and blessed Christmas. This is always one of my favorite times of the year because we are able to tell people the reason for the season. There is never a better opening to share the story of the Christ child.

“Today in the City of David, a Saviour has been born. He is Christ the Lord!” I LOVE THAT!!!

Merry CHRISTmas to each of you… and a Blessed New Year!

Favorite Christmas Card

Every year on Christmas day, after the children have unwrapped their gifts, I settle down for a couple of hours and read through all the Christmas cards, notes, and greetings that friends and people from the church have sent me. I always enjoy reading the cards and personal notes that are written by so many of you. I look at every card and read every note.

One of the things I enjoy is trying to figure out which cards are my favorites. I had several this year, but my very favorite came from the Manocchio family who sent a picture of their two daughters, Gabriela, age 11, and Julia, age 8.

Look at this picture! Besides being adorable, it is full of meaning, as 2006 was the year of “prayer”. This family wanted to send a message to all of their friends and family that their home had become a “house of prayer.”

So thank you Jon and Niurka (dad and mom) as well as Gabriela and Julia for sending out what I thought was my favorite Christmas card of 2006. You truly blessed me as well as everyone else who received this card.

The words on the card were as follows….. Praying that the Spirit of Christmas and the hope it brings, will be in your heart during this season and the whole year round. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given… and he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Nadia was Baptized by Pastor Shawn on December 25th, 2006
I want to wish each of you a very merry CHRISTmas. We had blessed Christmas Eve services and the highlight was at the end of the last service (we had a total of six services) we had a young lady named Nadia come forward and was baptized into Christ.

And the wonder of this decision was that she was converting from Islam. She was a muslim and today she is a CHRISTIAN. WOW!!! We are seeing more and more muslims converting to Christianity at our church.

This is the ONLY hope for peace in the world and it is the ONLY hope for peace in your HEART.

I want to thank each of you for your cards, gifts and notes that I received over the past few weeks. I am one of the most blessed Pastors in AMERICA. Thank you for your love and kindness.

Again. Be blessed today and have a MERRY CHRISTMAS.
