Kayla and the Girls

Kayla is number 11

Today is going to be a good day for the Rutherford household. My daughter, Kayla, who plays basketball for Hope International University play at Master’s College in Newhall today at 5:30 PM Pastor Tim is preaching this weekend, so I am going to be able to go see my daughter play today…. yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh God….

Today, at 2:00 PM this afternoon, Kayla is bringing the entire team over to our condo for lunch. Yes, they are going to have their pregame meal at our little condo. I am sooooooooo happy to host her team and to spend some time with Kayla.

I’ll try to write later tonight and let you know how they did in today’s game. If you’re not doing anything today, come on up to Master’s College, and I’ll see you there at 5:30 PM.

Be blessed and Maranatha!

Family Christmas Photo

Just want to wish YOU and YOUR family a blessed Christmas. Our family takes a Christmas picture each year and we try to mail it out to our entire Church family. If you didn’t get one it’s probably because you are not on our mailing list at the church or perhaps it got lost in the mail. 🙁

But just to be sure I decided to post this years picture on my Blog.
We hope that you know that Jesus is the Reason for the Season and we are still preparing for our Christmas Eve services.

If you do not have any plans we would LOVE to have you come visit us for our Christmas services.

Daddy’s Little Girl

I love this picture. I took it this past summer while traveling in Portland, Oregon with my little girl, Kerri Brett Rutherford. She is ten years young and she is the apple of my eye. One of her teacher’s named her Merry Kerri because she is always in a good mood. This picture was taken in the downtown area of Portland during a flower festival. LOOK at the COLOR of those flowers. Aren’t you glad that God knew we would enjoy variety and beautiful colors? The background of these flowers only serves as a backdrop to the real beauty of my daughter. She loves the Lord with all of her heart and she told me the other day she is thinking about being the first woman President. Now THAT would be something! But whether she realizes that dream or not, my prayer for her is that she always keeps her eyes on the Lord and that she lives each day illuminating the joy and presense of God to the world around her. And in the same way those flowers brighten our day, her spirit and love for God will change the world around her.
