This Tuesday night from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. I have been asked to guest host for the Frank Pastore show on KKLA 99.5 FM Los Angeles. Ask me if I’m nervous. Just a tad, my friend, just a tad.

I would LOVE, if you are able, to tune in THIS TUESDAY to KKLA 99.5 and be praying for me. Why you could even call in on a topic of discussion if you please at 888-995-KKLA. We will be talking about our jobs and being a Christian in the work force. We will be talking about evangelism and how you use your company to promote Christianity.

My Beautiful Mother

I was able to visit my mother this past Tuesday in Fresno, California. We were eating a little Mexican food and my handsome father snapped this photograph. I don’t get to see my mom much because she is so active in HER church that she rarely visits MY church. I LOVE that about my mother. She has always set the perfect example for me. As a young man I remember her sitting in church EVERY WEEKEND with a BIBLE in her lap, taking notes as dad preached. That visual has directed my life to keep the word of God a priority and to soak it in as much as possible. I’m sure she heard dad preach thousands of times, and each time she was like a sponge, carefully listening to the voice of God being taught by the Holy Spirit in truth and wisdom. I hope and pray that I have been that example to my children and to the Shepherd of the Hills Church. May we all continue to study, learn, memorize and apply the word of God. Thank you, mother, for being the “World’s Greatest Mom”. I love you!!! Dudley

THE BELL
I KNOW WHO I AM
I am God’s child (John 1:12)

I am a citizen of Heaven. I am significant (Phil 3:20)
I am free from any! charge against me (Rom . 8:31 -34)
I am a minister of reconciliation for God (2 Cor 5:17-21)
I have access to God through the Holy Spirit (Eph. 2:18)
I am seated with Christ in the heavenly realms (Eph. 2:6)

Iron Sharpening Iron

Several years ago, it was brought to my attention that hundreds of small churches were closing their doors here in California, so I gathered a group of pastors from larger churches to put our heads together and think about what we could do to help the smaller churches. From this brain- storming meeting, we came up with the “Iron Sharpening Iron” gathering. We invited pastors from Bakersfield to San Diego, and usually, our annual meeting takes place in October.

I took some photos from just a few weeks ago. We spend the day providing round table discussions concerning modern issues that these pastors face, and then we serve them a delicious luncheon. We bring in an outside speaker (this year, it was Bob Russell) and then we give them a sack full of books, sermons, and illustrations. AND IT’S ALL FREE. THERE IS NO COST!!!

It truly is a day to JUST BLESS and ENCOURAGE the great men and women who lead our smaller churches. I praise God for those who serve faithfully, even though they often go unnoticed or unrecognized. I am also thankful that the Lord has so blessed this gathering of pastors.

Please pray that God would bless each of these men and women MIGHTILY!!!
